College football playoff

Wasn't pulling for either team much over the other, just wished the game had been closer. I do like that we're finally at four teams, but I don't think that's enough. I think you need 6 teams minimum and no more than 8 teams. TCU would have been a fun team to watch against some of the final four teams. I think they will eventually expand, but like with this playoff system, it will take time and they'll want to build it up to maximize money.

And I'm glad the game is over for two big reasons. I won't have to hear that stupid Fall Out Boy song that they HAD to play on EVERY f'in commercial that had to deal with the playoffs and hopefully it will be the end of the Dr Pepper guy. I don't know why, but he annoyed the sh*t out of me. Sorry, I'm a crabby guy.

Top two teams get a bye. Just like the NFL playoffs.

Eight teams would be perfect. Automatic berths for the conference champions with the top six rankings, and the last two for the two highest ranked teams that aren't conference champions.

It doesn't leave out anybody. Even if all five Power Five champions are ranked 1-5, you still get at least one Group of Five champion, and if an independant wants in, tell them to play well enough to be ranked in the top 10 and they're practically guaranteed a spot.

I recently watched this football documentary, specifically about College Football. It's on Netflix and all I can say is WOW. Everyone should watch this.

Precisely. The Ducks got stomped. Lost the battle in the trenches on both sides of the ball. If that was a "fine" representation of the Pac-12, I'd hate to see a poor one. Where I played, there was always shame in losing(self-imposed). But hey, at least u got there...:thumb:

I agree they were losing in the trenches but Oregon had a little bit of momentum in the first quarter then a few dropped balls the momentum had swung back to OSU and the Ducks never could get it back.

I think they should drop a couple non conference games or just extend the schedule a couple weeks and play the top 16 teams. I also think the college championship game should be on Saturday and the Super Bowl on Sunday would make for a good weekend!

Absolutely. People were miserable and hungover that next day at work. EST 9pm games are the worst for fans.
