Maybe, just maybe, I'll think about joining Facebook, only for this...

I seem to be missing a lot of fun.
 
Possible to just keep this thread updated? I'm one of those individuals that is down to run trails with others but keep myself off facebook.
 
another non facebooker here.... if there is communication here that would be great. Otherwise I do a lot with the Rocky Mountain Overland group

I was thinking the same thing. Not sure I can bring myself to do it though. Maybe I can convince my wife to join the group on my behalf [emoji23]

I absolutely refuse to join Facebook/Twitter/Social Media.

Too much bad shit and misunderstanding happen on those places and I don't care what somebody I knew 25 years ago is doing anyway.

Hey [MENTION=98117]comtn4x4[/MENTION], do you ever make it to the meet and greets for RMO in Arvada? I've been out of town for every one all summer, but hoping to make the next one. Judging by your signature, we probably have very similar rigs.

I have made it to most of the meetings this summer and done a couple trips with them. Good group of people, lot's that overland with families like I do. It does look like we have similar rigs. Love to hear your feedback on the hefty rear bumper at the next meeting. I'm Alec btw
 
Meh, Facebook is just a medium and like any other it's mostly what you make of it. Just because you sign up doesn't mean you instantly become friends with all your high school ex-girlfriends and people you didn't even care for then. I ignore most friend requests and remove anyone that posts stupid shit or keeps trying to invite me to help tend their virtual crops or whatever. That means I can join groups like this and not need to ask other people to relay information to me because I'm too cool to sign up for Facebook.
