Colorado Meeting May 19th 2012

This will be a Toyota weekend
The gang from FJ Cruisers are making a run/ camp out May 19 at Metberry Gulch. The count is 18 now.

That will make it interesting. they are a great group and very knowledgable on the trails.

It looks like it is only Doozi, Small Fry and myself as far as 4Runners.

Small Fry, I have not been there before and this is my second run so I am not comfortable leading. Army_Cruzer from the FJ group volunteered to lead the Colorado Springs group. He is in the process of changing vehicles so I dont know if that will change or not. Something should be final by Wednesday. You can follow long the same thread.


If anyone else is still making the run Saturday post up please.

It looks like most of the FJ group will be camping and they are planning some skeet shooting if there is a interest.

For sure and they dont have any problem with different vehicles. Army_Cruiser from the FJ group was/is going to lead the Colorado Springs group to the trail head. He just traded his FJ for a Jeep. I shot him a PM to see if he is still going to lead the CS group. He had a awsome FJ, very well built but I guess he wants to build more of a rock crawler so he went the jeep route. If he is still going to lead the CS group I will post time and location.

I know the FJ group is planning to be at the trail head at 11.
I have posted links to each forum thread.

Both groups have had people cancel so what started out to be a 30+ run looks to be more around 20 or so.

As far as the Colorado Spring FJ group, Army_Cruiser is leading the Colorado Springs group if you want to join up. I should be at the Safeway around 9:15.
Colorado Springs folks - Army_Cruiser is leading the Colorado Springs group, the meet point is at the Safeway at 3275 West Colorado Avenue at 9:30 AM. He will be driving a bright orange 4-door Jeep.

That sounds like a good option.
I am not bringing any arms so I wont be participating in the skeet shooting the others are doing. Maybe hitting the other trails would be a good choice. I will have my 3 year old with me and she has not been around firearms yet.
