Colorado Springs!!!

Thanks for all the help. I will def look through those. But we are getting off topic. I posted this to look for some local guys (not Denver) that have a little knowledge that wanna hang out and talk T4Rs. Denver doesn't help me cause I don't want to drive 90 min anytime I wanna work on my runner. I wanna find some ppl local. I have space indoors to work so let me know if anyone in the Springs wants to hang.

I will be glad to turn wrenches with you or talk 4Runners.

There are so many creative people on this forum it is not that easy planning your mods. Unless you have a unlimited budget.

A good place to talk 4Runners is on the trail. Maybe we can get a Rainbow Falls trail run started early next year, or some other easy winter time trail.

I really want to go wheel with some of you colorado springs guys. Sadly I have to leave on the 3rd. If you guys plan anything the next 2 weeks, let me know!

Did you decide not to sell your rig? Just couldn't do it?
I'd be down for planing something before you leave. If we go somewhere where my bone stock runner doesn't get torn up. lol

There's just not enough interest in it. But I really don't mind because I love the 4runner so much.

Just rip those running boards off and throw that bumper on! Anyone know if a stock rig could make it through Mount Rosa? It might be covered in snow, I might have to drive by and look.

I used this place last night (12/21), Westminster to be exact. DIY Auto Repair Shops is what it's called. Awesome place, got n00bed hard core by the rear of the 4runner and a tech was willing to help out and get me back on the road. Tim, while I understand not wanting to drive 90 minutes to do stuff on your 4runner... if you don't have the place to do the work, nor all the tools, it could be worth accumulating some stuff and then renting some space to knock it all out at once.

Having just lifted the rear last night and finishing the drivers side front this afternoon, I must say... even if you find someone local to help you out, even if I drove down to hang out and help you install some things, it could still wind up that your truck sits on jack stands due to something stupid. Anyway, I should probably do some preventative maintenance and LBJs would be one of the first. If you want to both knock it out at the same time DIY style let me know. I don't see that having as much risk of jackstanding the vehicle as doing the whole suspension.
 
I'm in Johnstown and have a 3 car garage non heated but plenty of space to work in, just need to bring tools as I have very few.

I might be down for something close this weekend (after christmas) Been wheeling 3-5 hours away from town earlier this year, but now that my ass belongs to the railroad, I need to stay close. Lemme know what you guys are thinking

I'm not trying to come off as rude but...

Read some of the stickies, search for threads with the word 'preventative', spend a bit more effort than 30 seconds of searching before demanding answers as a new member is probably a good idea.

First of all, sorry that you feel like new ppl like me are ruining your precious forum. You are bothered enough to go out of your way and post a comment on a post you have showed no other interest in.

No I have never used vbulletin. Yes I am new to the forum, and any forum.

I posted a thread looking for ppl in Colorado Springs. Not "demanding answers" regarding proven tatie measures. Someone provided their advise and I simply asked them to elaborate a little. I apologize that I didn't drop everything and spend hours researching their comment rewarding something I wasn't even initially seeking.

So, I'm not trying to come off rude but....

Screw you. :)

My apologies, I'm not upset, I just don't understand peoples comments sometimes.

Marry Christmas to you. I just left Bass Pro, you can't be mad right after leaving that place. I'm so happy that we finally got one in the Springs. All the Denver people are just to lucky. They already have Bass Pro, Cabelas, Ikea, etc. The list goes on and on. lol

When are we going to get together and wheel and talk runners? I just got a ton of stuff in the mail today (Marry Christmas to me) for my runner. Next weekend I'm going to rip up my dash and try to get everything done I need to get done in there. I got my deck, cb radio, (still need to order my leds for converting all the dash lights), and I have a switch panel I want to put in. Have you done any of these? It's Bill right?

Im still down for a quick run sat or sun this week. though I dont know if they reopened old stage road or not (been outta town working for a while)

I was working over in the Broadmoor a few days ago and it was still closed. That was prob Friday. So I don't think it is reopened. You have any other spots?

Nothing close. hopefully some other ideas pop up, because i could use some mountain time
 
I havent been up to Hackett/Longwater Gulch in Divide in years. Not sure the condition of those, but there are spots that a stock rig could have trouble with, for sure.
Theres a rock that I would probably be pulling out the cable, not having lockers on this rig yet

Atleast my rig comes stock with a locker :). And I just ditched the running boards today. So much better.
