Chinamans sounds good for Saturday and then watching the others on Carnage again for a bit.

That sounds like a plan. Iron Chest is a fun trail, the beginning is technical and the rest is your typical high mountain Colorado trail, theres also some old mining structures up at the top and there's a ton of other trails in the area. I will plan on heading down to camp Thursday night, that way I'm all ready to go Friday morning.

I like the sounds of this. Chinaman's is one I've been looking to do, and this is the perfect time to cross it off the list. Friday I haven't decided if I will make the early drive over, but if I do, Iron Chest also seems like a great trail from what I've read on TrailDamage.

I too am in for Chinaman on Saturday, [MENTION=44220]BigFishAllDay[/MENTION] Ill probably just hop into whatever trail group you've got setup for friday as well. I like to know at least one or two in my group. See everyone in a couple weeks!

If there's an extra seat for Iron Chest I would be down for that. Don't want to run it without skid plates.

I'm coming too...I'll be there on Thursday as well. Of course I'd like to run trail with the group and I don't really care what trail it is, its all new to me. I would prefer to be in front of [MENTION=94888]EatonKyleH[/MENTION] when we start going downhill though.

Sweet... so it sounds like we've got 6 vehicles for sure on Friday, maybe 7 if derpiful shows up early. And Drew, I'll have extra seats as well. If I were you I'd ride with everybody and get a sampling of how the different builds feel..

Thank about it, what other time would you have the opportunity to choose a ride in the following 3rd gens:

1. TRD SC, 5.29's, 36's, auto, double locked. (Dirtco)

2. TRD SC, 4.10's, 33's, manual, dual cased, rear locked. (EatonKyleH)

3. TRD SC, 4.88's, 33's, auto, double locked (me and TBuzz)

Plus...

4. 1st gen T4R on 37's, dual locked (IIRC), dual cased, too (IIRC) (Volcom)

5. A long travel 2nd gen Tacoma w/who knows what (NateMob)

6. A really well built Jeep (not sure of build specs, but Volcoms brothers rig)

I'm really looking forward to the trip and catching up with everybody....

Originally, I planned to run Holy Cross on Friday. However, my only knowledge of that trail is via youtube. So, interested in feedback, as well as see how big that group is, before fully committing to it.

Assuming everything holds together, I will be in on Wednesday. Refresh, and run a few sight seeing trails, and be at camp by Thursday evening.

Excited about the event and meeting everybody.

I think your rig would spank Holy Cross. I've never run the trail, but you're definitely set up for it.

The Holy Cross run usually gets 15-25 rigs. You'd be fine on HC just looking at your profile pic. They slowdown on that trail is French Creek. As long as everyone is limited to three attempts and pulls winch after 3 tries to keep everyone moving, the day will go good. It usually takes us 2 hrs to get 25 rigs through French Creek on a good day. It can take much longer if the 3 strikes rule isn't followed or there is major breakage.

We can talk about HC on Thursday night around the campfire if you have any more questions or concerns! It's one of Colorado's legendary trails that you really should hit if you're driving across the country.

if by last minute mods you mean discovering both my rear shocks are leaking profusely then yes

Personally I don't know any trails but I've spent quite a bit of time in salida and you won't be disappointed even if you just run some fire roads. Also as mentioned before there will be some extra seats if you do want to tag along during chinaman or something. I know I'm riding solo this trip so I'll have one seat open

If you want to wheel with a ton of different people and rigs from all over the country and support a vendor that supports this site and all Toyota 4x4s then I think it would be great to have you. Not to mention I want to check out that homebrew LT.
