Colorado trails

I am planning a family vacation in Colorado late July. I have done the alpine loop around the Lake city area a few times before and really enjoyed the scenery and not too difficult trails. However this trip we will be staying at a cabin in Florissant. Just outside Colorado Springs. And I know nothing about the area. Can some body point me in the direction to some trails similar to what we would experience around Lake City. My vehicle is a 5th gen limited if that gives you an idea of capability.
