Hello from Denver! I've been lurking ever since the wife got hers back in October, but we loved it so much that I decided to pick one up as a project... I have a thing for Black t4r's. :biggrin1:

Here's my 2006 Sport Edition 4.0L that I just bought... stock for now, but already ordered a Toytec lift and some other goodies :)

Plans for this one is lift, tires, winch, lights, etc...

Hey all,

It's been a while! Havent been on the cpu much as I transferred jobs and moved back to Ft. Collins. My old mechanic is not doing business anymore so can anyone recommend a good one here in Ft. Collins. I need to have a bushing installed in the front differential. Hope all of you had happy holidays!

Dang unfortunately your stereo won't work for me. I'm looking for the factory head unit that looks like this.

I think I recall getting rid of it last time I de-cluttered my garage, but let me look tonight - appears to be (And I presume it is) the same as the stereo out of the same generation of Tacoma. If I still have it around, how about $200?

Just kidding, if I have it, it's yours - I know some of the text on the buttons had faded, but otherwise should be in perfect working order.

I just moved to Colorado Springs about 4 months ago....picked up an '06 4-Runner earlier this week, wouldn't mind going on some mild trails...it's my daily driver, so I won't be lifting it or going crazy with it!
Definitely going to be leveling it out, can't stand the look right now!
If anyone has some trails that lead to some good fishing spots, I'm in!

I moved to the springs in august and got my '06 about four months ago also lol.

The 15+ inches of snow overnight last night was a blast to drive to work in. Was playing around in the parking lot and damn near got myself stuck on top of a snow bank the plow truck made. My skid plates packed it down just enough to basically high center me. For only the second time ever, I needed 4 low and the locker to dig myself out of that one.

I live in unincorporated part of Eastern Aurora, and I actually had to use 4WD to get out of my neighborhood... I attribute it to the fact that my new tires havent come in yet, and I'm on crappy street tires. haha

MD to CO Road Trip, Camping, Exploring

Hello from Maryland! My wife and I are planning a road trip to CO this July and I am hoping some of you Rocky Mountain guys can give me some advice on good camping locations. We will be there the week of the 4th and will be visiting the Summit County area where I use to live for short time about 15 years ago but, also hope to do a good bit of traveling and exploring in other areas outside of Summit. We will be in CO for about a week and hope to hop around and camp in different areas the first half of our trip and then find someplace to say that has nice accommodations the 2nd half before we drive back to MD. I hope to do some light off-roading and camping (nothing too crazy, got to drive her back to MD). A night or two someplace secluded and on a river would be ideal! I hope to do some fishing too! I’d also like to camp at least one night on a mountain top with little light pollution. I was thinking Montezuma/back side of Keystone or on North Star mtn. on the Alma pass near Breck but am total open to your suggestions as I am sure there are better locations. We will also be looking for a good place to camp in or near Summit that has facilities (bathrooms, showers, etc) My wife has never been to the mountains before so I hope to show her some of the beauty that CO has to offer. I welcome any suggestions and advice you guys have on where to go or stay! Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I started a thread here...http://www.toyota-4runner.org/mountain/214113-road-trip-md-co-need-suggestions.html

Well might as well start lurking here a bit. I'm orginally from \Montana, but just moved to Wyoming. I travel to Colorado quiet a bit for work but since there isn't a strong Wyoming presence I'll just hang with you guys lol.

Early Spring Wheeling?

Has anyone been out wheeling recently in the front range lately? Any reports? I would love to get out soon on some stocker friendly trails. :lookout:

Hey all, any recommendations on camping spots that require the use of our 4 wheel drive here in Colorado towards the end of may?

Most gated forest roads should open up Memorial Day Weekend, so much of the lower front range trails should be open.

Just did rainbow falls today, no problems, was beautiful out there with some fog and rain
