so, aside from Gulches, are there any areas local to Columbia to get in a little off road time?

I'd love to get to gulches one day, just need to plan it out when i'm up there next.

I'm with ya man... I've been wanting to go explore a little place behind my local wal-mart but don't know that its entirely legal. :police:

I've been looking on google maps to try and see if I can find anywhere around here to play around but that seems like the worst idea in the world.

My step dad used to own 400+ acres in ridgeway but I think that was a while ago wish he still had it that would be perfect!

i live in columbia sc, i just bought my first 4x4 4runner this week (used to own a 2wd:/) growing up in high school i always went mud riding but most places are busted now and i really want a new spot for any kind of off roading now that i have a vehicle capable of such.

If anyone comes across a good spot (thats legal), I would make the 1 hour drive to go play! Everything here gets busted a few days after it gets discovered.:crybaby: No bueno.

It does suck, I know the land that my step dad had was shared with the paper company who I'm sure has tons of access to land and trails that we would have a great time with (responsibly of course). If there was just a way to get them to open some of their stuff up to the public without getting into law suits and the like. I've looked on google maps and you can clearly see many trails and other roads that look like a lot of fun, I'm just not one for trekking on another mans land without permission.
