compass on 98 Ltd?

rear view mirror on my 98 Limited has two buttons: "Temp" and "Comp". Can I assume Comp means compass? (don't have my owner's manual yet)

And when i push "Comp" the display in the mirror just shows a "C", anyone know what this means ?

this means calibrate, you should do this every time you disconnect the battery. when in that mode, it wants you to drive in a complete circle so it can get its bearings. make sure you do this in an open parking lot or something. no big buildings, power lines, parking gargage, etc. near by.

in the fourth gen., if you hold down the comp button long enough a number will show up. you are suppose to enter your world region number as specified in the owner's manual to compensate for your relative position to the north and south poles.
