Condensate water even with AC off?

My 2019 trd offroad premium has no automatic air conditioning.
The last few days I drive actually always with air conditioning off, the indicator lamp "AC" was always off. But when I park the car there is always a puddle of water under the car where the drain hose of the AC system is.
Why does water still come out when the air conditioning is off? Or is the air conditioning not completely off?
According to the manual, AC only runs when it's switched on manually or when the temperature knob is turned all the way to minimum.

How's the humidity there in Switzerland? I assume you're running the fan even though you don't have the AC running? Did you by chance run the defroster? Some condensation would be normal even with the AC off. And it's not windshield wiper fluid either?

e.g. today we have 17 degrees outside and 60% humidity. I definitely never used wiper water or defroster, but the fan was certainly switched on with a low speed.

Today at lower temperature there was no more water. Maybe it was due to the higher temperatures of the last few days. I assume that the air conditioning only runs when the ac indicator is lit. That's why i found it strange that water still drips.
Or is the air conditioner also used for dehumidification without the indicator being on?

When you say it was "17 degrees", is that Celsius or Fahrenheit?

I have read that when using the defroster the AC compressor is activated to help defrost the windshield faster, not sure if that is true or not.

Sorry for the inaccuracy, I mean degrees Celsius.
The last few days it was relatively warm for the season, up to around 25 degrees Celsius. But I had never used the climate "actively".
It's also nothing bad either, i was just wondering if the air conditioning might not be shutting off correctly. I will continue to monitor, also depending on the air outlet button position.

As I understand the instructions, nowhere does it say anything about automatically switching on the air conditioning. Always only by hand:

If "AC" is not pressed, the system will blow ambient temperature air or
heated air.
And for defogging the windshield:
If the dehumidification function is not operating, press AC to
operate the dehumidification function.

The AC compressor will turn on anytime the airflow is directed to the windshield and the fan is on. In those instances, the AC indicator will not light.

That's the way I have heard the defroster works....BUT you can find out for sure by opening the hood and checking if the AC compressor comes on when someone turns on the defroster and fan.

Tested this with a look under the hood.
It is exactly as tennen described. As soon as you turn the selector switch to one of the two positions with windshield, the air conditioning compressor engages and turns. In this case, the ac lamp is off. It comes only on when you turn the temperature knob to full cold or press the AC Button.

Because the foot-and-windshield position was my favorite position, i had condensation under the car all the time. Must be getting used to foot+head ventilation i think :thumb3:

OP is it possible that in the night moisture is condensing in your undercarriage and/or on your vehicle and then in the morning after you drive/park it drips?
