Hey guys thought I would post this incase anyone ever had access to these suspension parts but weren't sure if they fit. So I have a friend that just got Icon on his 2016 TRD Pro and he had no use for his stock suspension, which means I could use whatever worked.
First of all, the struts are wayyy too long and there is no possible way they would fit. Not sure about removing the spring and installing it into a shorter strut, maybe I'll try that later.
The rear coils are color coded pink/orange, however there is no indication of driver or passenger side that I could tell so I just eyeballed it by which one was slightly taller. Also, these coils are thicker than OEM, and it has a slightly larger diameter of about 1/4", nothing to screw anything up though. Because of this slight increase in diameter the bumpstop cone kinda moves around upon install unlike in the OEM coil, but it will still remain seated in the correct spot once the install is done.
As for the rear shocks, they are the Bilsteins with an external reservoir (part #: PTR13-89150-RR and PTR13-89150-LR). Yes, they are about 3ish inches longer than stock suspension so if you're wheeling hard the coils will fall out if you flex too much, so I probably need to get some longer bumpstops or limit straps. The shock will bolt right up to the factory brackets you may just have to compress the shock a little bit to get it on the lower stud.
Reservoirs are kinda annoying me at the moment because I need to come up with a good way to mount them to the frame rail. They are currently clamped on and ziptied on to the frame lol
Have done no wheeling, but the rear end is a lot firmer and less rowdy on the road. Takes speed bumps like a fricken champ.
This lifted my 4runner about an inch in the rear, it used to sit slightly sagged, but now it has just a slight rake in its stance (kinda hard to tell I think my camera was slightly slanted...). 22" hub to fender on both sides with 265/75s.
