Conflicting tire size info on my 4runner.. Help!

Hi fellas... Question here. So, I am getting new tires and am getting different info on what my truck needs. The previous owner put two different size tires on the truck; 255/70/16 on the back and 265/70/16 on the front. I'm switching over to 265/70/16. However, the sticker in the door jamb looks like this:

I'm assuming 265/70/16 is still the right size. But obviously not stock? Any thoughts? It is an 02 sport...

you might want to look at any of the tires on your truck right now and check and see what size wheel you have.... then you can either buy 265/70/16 or 265/70/15's.

those are 16's so yes those tires will fit just fine

You can run the bigger size if you want, your 02 sport probably came with the bigger size from the factory since it was a sport, regardless of being 4x4 or not, so technically it is a stock tire size. 265/70/16 will fit of course as well as the 265/75/16 (just slightly wider). And if I'm not mistaken, all door jam stickers on 3rd gens will read that smaller tire size (which mostly came on many base model 4runners) regardless of the trim package you got from the dealer.

EDIt: And go ahead and remove the running boards too, looks like you already have a little trail rash on the drivers side.

Yep, I've got to get those running boards off! I'm just lazy I guess. But yep, that has been on my to-do list since before day 1. I just need some time and my ratchet set... I hope there's not a bunch of ugly pinch welds under there...
