confused about bolt patter

So I have a 2008 Urban Runner with the limited 18" wheels, and 256/65/18 bf goodrich AT/KOs. Ive been looking into getting some new wheels and I found some I like. they're 18x9 so they're a bit wider.. but then I saw options for the bolt pattern and offset.. I have absolutely no idea what bolt pattern is relative to. anyone know?? and here's the link to the wheels

Would they work with my T4R?? and which bolt pattern is best? I don't want them sticking really far out, maybe just a hair more than stock.

It's not which pattern would work best... only one will work and, off the top of my head, I think the Gen4 bolt pattern is 6 x 139.7mm. I'll try to confirm that soon.

i found this online, lol I just don't know how to decipher it.. And I don't know if it applies differently to different wheels.

You will need rims with that specific bolt pattern, 6x193.7mm or 6x5.5inches. The bolt pattern is referencing the space between one wheel stud and another. Toyota trucks also require rims with a bigger hub bore. The tire shop should be able to help you determine whether or not the rims you've chosen will be able to be mounted.

Offset refers to the hub mounting surface of the rim. If it's at the center line of the rim, 9" wide rim and it's at 4.5", you have a rim with zero offset. Positive offset rims, the mounting surface will be moved towards the face of rim (street side). Negative offset is when the mountinge surface is moved towards the inside of the rim (the brakes) giving rims the dip dish look aka "more lip" commonly found on RWD luxury cars.

Backspacing also measures the hub mounting surface from the hub surface to the inside end of the rim. Knowing the width of the rim and backspacing, you can calculate the offset value.

Alright, very well put! Thanks Uneek! And I actually just went down to 4wheel parts yesterday and they called up the wheel company to find the best fit for my car. I'm still unsure if I want to make the leap for new wheels, so I'm gonna wait a while and see how I feel.
