I am looking to buy new tires for my 1998 4Runner/4WD. I have looked at advice from this forum and have decided to go with either the REVO or the LTX.
I found the REVO & LTX M/S for a great price ($157 & $159 respectively) at discounttire, but I see there are 2 different models of each at the 265/75/16 size..is there really a difference between passenger car & truck?
Here are the specs right from the discounttire website:
REVO $157 tire
Size P265/75R-16 114S OWL
Warranty 50,000 Miles
UTQG 500AB
Speed Rating S*
REVO $183 tire
Size LT265/75R-16/C1 112S
UTQG 500AB
Speed Rating S*
Any help? I assume the "P" vs. "LT" stands for passenger vs. truck but I don't know what the difference is if the tire size is identical.
Thanks!
PS My main objective is a quiet ride..don't get offroad too much these days..is there a better choice for me?
