Confused by "DJ" option

In all of the research I've been doing, I keep running into different explanations for the "DJ" radio option. I testdrove the Sport that I was interested in, and it had a 6-speaker system with 6-disc in-dash stereo. This option was a $200 add-on on the window sticker. Many sites like KBB and NADA call this option "DJ":

AM/FM STEREO W/6-DISC CD CHANGER

However, other dealerships in my area whose web sites I've been visiting show an installed JBL Synthesis option for the same $200 that neither KBB or NADA have any information about, but Edmunds calls this option "DJ":

JBL Synthesis 3-in-1 Audio
Includes JBL Synthesis with CD player, cassette deck and 10 speakers including center channel and subwoofer, rear seat audio, remote control and wireless headphone capability.

They appear to be two very different options but share the same price and option code. I've decided on many of the features I want and have started contacting Internet Sales depts. for local dealerships, but I'd like to get this cleared up (I very much prefer the upgraded JBL system over the average sounding system I heard during the test drive - I can give up a 6-disc changer for upgraded speakers). I guess I just want to make sure that if I find the right vehicle and the right price that I don't end up with the 6-speaker system after expecting the JBL 10-speaker because of confusing/misleading/incorrect option descriptions.

I thought you good folks that already own a T4R might be able to help me with this confusion. Hope it makes sense, and thanks in advance.

As far as I know, the JBL single-disc unit is no longer offered on the 2006's.

My guess is that DJ was the code for the 2003-2005 JBL single-disc unit and some places haven't changed the description over to the new 6-disc non-JBL unit.

Just my two cents... if you plan on upgrading your stock stereo, don't go for the JBL option - lots more work. I bought a 2006 T4R with the most basic radio in anticipation of installing an aftermarket - fairly straightforward install. Also, I was planning on replacing the stock speakers (non-JBL) with aftermarket but after installing my new HU (Eclipse AVN6600), the sound quality is surprisingly pretty decent so I'm keeping them for now. Speaker performance is the speaker themselves but your head unit plays a large factor also...

Thanks. I made another trip out to a dealership today and got a definitive answer. You're right, this changed from '05 to '06. Guess I'll have to start looking into best options for upgrading.
