Considering 89' 4R SR5

I am headed to look at this truck in the morning, overall appears very solid and clean. I believe a two owner vehicle, has some small flaws like the heat doesn't blow, A/C is disconencted, some weatherstripping around windshield, slide windows etc. Seller says no body rust, hidden area to look?

I am searching around for part sources to see what the support level is. I plan to restore it to original condition. From the few post I have come across, I see that interior/exterior etc is almost non-existent.

Looking for some sources to see what is out there so I can make a decision.

I do see body parts: Alfa
Interior misc. The 4 Runner House
What else is out there?

Don't know if you've looked at it already or not, but on my 2nd gen (and a lot others I see) there's some right below the rear doors where it curves up over the rear tire in that little "corner". The PO put plastic guards over the rust on mine, can't notice it unless you look for it. Also on mine, on the rear bumper behind the mud flaps/guards. I guess the mud gets trapped in there and corrodes the bumper, yay. Now if I take those off I got some nice cancer showing :crybaby:

Yup, look under the stone guards and chrome trim on the rear quarterpanels, that's where it starts. Also check the frame around the leaf spring mounts and body mounts in the rear.

Aftermarket support for trim and interior body pieces is almost nonexistent. toyotafiberglass.com makes exterior body panels for the whole truck, and he's starting to work on inside panels but doesn't have a full line yet. Every restoration I've seen so far has resorted to DIY reconditioning junkyard parts - SEM trim paint is your friend.
