Considering an '04 v6 purchase...

White, Sport Utility, 84,000 miles. $16,000.
3rd seat, quite good condition overall.

Those of you who have dealt with 4runners for a while, am I looking at a decent deal here?
I have a 2000 tundra right now, plan to sell it and purchase this one.
I don't have very specific questions, just figured I'd ask for random thoughts, input from the veterans out there.
Thanks

Mongoose I have an 04 Sport with the v6 and love it. I am was pretty sure the 3rd row option only came with the SR5 or Limited? Anyrate I've had absolutely NO issues with mine and love it like the day I bought it.

Good luck with yours and hope to see some pics posted if you get it.

Ah yea, you're right, it is an SR5.
Is that 3rd row worth it? I don't really need it right now (won't have any kids for a few years here), but maybe it helps with the resale.

my wife is rollin' a 2003 sr5 v6 4x4. there are about 130,000 miles on the odometer and we havent had a lick a trouble.

we just did an 800 mile round trip in 2 days and had no problems. at 80 mph we averaged 22.3 mpg.

Really depends on what you are planning on doing with the vehicle. My wife has the corner held on tote'n the kids around and I wheel in mine and would consider the 3rd row a waste of space. Nothing against the extra seats it just doesn't fit my needs. Besides, you can probably take the row out and store it in the garage or something...

I think you'll find on everyone here is PRO 4R and most of us haven't had any issues with our 4th gens. I say pull the trigger and let the mods begin!

I have two of these and you can't go wrong. However, I think the price is a little high. I bought an 03 limited with 140k miles for $11k last spring. 3 years ago I bought my 03 SR5 for $17k with only 40k miles on it.
I think a fair price with that mileage would be around $13k to $14k.

I think this is a good deal. I've got a white 04 V8 with less miles but she runs like a champ. Add to that the fact that the 2010's look like ass and you'll have a nice rig for some time to come with decent resale value.
