considering trading my 4runner

So I've decided to keep it. The tax money Id have to pay the dmv for a Taco will go a long way for the lift/brakes for this one. And really, the 4runner is just pretty damn sweet.

I'm happy to read this. I loved my 94 Tacoma. I owned it for a few years and then in 99 I bought my 3rd gen 4Runner. I stopped driving the Tacoma as much as the 4Runner was even more comfortable than the truck. I miss that truck, but after I learned about the body rust issue....I got over it. I'd own a Tacoma again, but no way would I go without my 4Runner. My future "off road trails only" rig will be a modified Tacoma. Or a HIGHLY modified 4Runner. Anyway, you made the right choice for now. Maybe down the road if you can afford to have 2 vehicles, you can get one of those 2 WD 4 banger Tacomas to put around in.
