Consolidated Common Rattle Locations and Fixes

New to this forum but there have been a few rattles that I have been hunting on my new (to me) 4R. Previous forums for other cars had a consolidated rattle thread that was pretty helpful rather than tearing through hundreds of threads. Figured I would start one.

I am new, so I am sure there are dozens that I do not know about yet, but if you post them (Location, Fix and Link if possible) I will add them to the consolidated table below.

Rattle List and Fixes

Most of the rattles in my 4th gen originate from the sunroof. The tracks may be loose from the roof structure. The linkage that actually moves the glass may be worn/loose and rattle. The sunshade may rattle in its track and on a thin metal crossmember just under the headliner just behind the sunroof opening.

There were also some rattles coming from the cargo area such as the door to the jack and the lid to one of the cubbies over the wheel wells.

I really haven't discovered any other rattles than those.

I sometimes drive a beat up S10, Explorer, or F150 for work and I can say, we (4Runner owners) really don't know rattles like these vehicles have.
