It occurred to me another benefit could be lighter weight (depending on the design implementation).

So glad I stumbled across a picture of your rig on FB (Gobi page). I have a Gobi stealth on order due soon ha ha. I was looking for a hardshell RTT. How did you mount the roofnest. Also, what mounts did you use for the ARB awning? I am hoping I can fit a roofnest and Rhino Batwing awning on. Mine is a Black TRD PRO and your rig is pretty much what I am aiming for, CBI bumpers and SCS wheels (Ray 10s).

LOLl they just put that pic up this morning too! It was a tedious process. I had to take the crossbars off the gobi rack, and literally bolt them to the bottom of the RTT. After that, i had to take the entire RTT assembly and bolt it back on the gobi rack. Make sure you have extra help when you do this. Also i recommend getting a wrench lengthened to be able to reach the bolts underneath to tighten them more.

What awning mounting brackets did you use? Did it require any mods to fit with the tent?

Im using all the gobi attachments (Awning, SHovel/Axe, Hi Lift.) I didnt have to mod anything to make it fit, although the awning has to be taken off first before you take the tent on/off in order to access the mounting bolts underneath the tent

Anyone have more pictures of that Addicted Offroad Rear Bumper?
Just ordered the c4 dual swing. I dont run around with rotopax and maxtrax on all the time, so does anyone else with this setup up take off the rotopax/maxtrax mount when not using? Just seems large to drive around with empty, only need every few weeks or once a month depending on trips.
May put a small rotopax flat on the drivers swing (wont be able to carry maxtrax on swing arm), but will need to figure out where to put the license plate (likely wont put it on the wheel due to having a trasharoo).
Thanks for any experience or ideas.

First off congratulations! As far as storage goes, I wouldn’t commit to too much before you get the bumper, from my experience it’s better to play around with your setup to see how you like it.
I have the dual swing C4 also although I don’t use the Rotopax holder, Jerry cans work better for me although as you can see, I put 2 2-gallon Rotopax in the jerry can holder to give me some flexibility. I don’t daily drive around with my hi lift or Maxtrax (or Trasharoo) on my rig either for a couple reasons, theft primarily, the hi lift will rust, and honestly, it’s just not needed for daily use. I do keep the Jerry can(s)/Rotopax on as they’re empty anyway so it’s not a big deal and they’re easy to secure from theft. I recently decided that since I don’t really use my hi lift frequently (I may quit carrying it altogether), I would move it back to being bolted to the side of my roof rack and bring my propane tank from the roof rack to the rear bumper. Since I use the propane tank much more it’s been a lot easier. As far as the Maxtrax go, I use a strap to strap them to the rear tire and the my Trasharoo over the top. I don’t have any great pictures of my trail setup back there but I included a couple others.
As far as the license plate goes, I also didn’t want it on the spare, so I actually re purposed some other piece that C4 sent me (Sorry I don’t recall what it was for) and bolted it to the bottom of my Jerry can holder. You won’t have that option; however, you might be able extend it off the Rotopax bracket or off the swing arm.

Thanks! Great advice. I do tend to overthink these things so I agree its best to wait and play with it. I think I will need to figure out my daily setup vs bigger trips setup. I currently have a wilco so I do have a mount for maxtrax for the spare I could use. What propane mount do you use?

I used a Power Tanks bracket, it fit three different tank sizes so I can go larger if I need to. I did have to drill the bracket and the swing arm to mount it. As well as reverse the strap on the bracket so it latched on the left.

Some more bumpers. None of them are in production yet, but they all look really good. The lack of swingouts on the Dissent one is a huge bummer though. Most people probably wont buy it specifically because of that

that nguyen works bumper looks like a nguyen.... i would be interested in that
