I wasn't sure about the kickout due to the base version having a 1.5" taper, but I'm glad I went with that option now. I also got the full tread plates for my dog.
 
too bad a lot of these don't have any solid info on LE & XREAS.

one I dug further in said they make them for the 10-15 LE's but w/o XREAS.

um 2014+ LE's came with xreas in 2wd and 4wd versions.

RCI as rock sliders now as well. I'm picking up mine Saturday and I'll be painting them and should have them on by Sunday. So ill put up lots of pictures.
 
It might help if you guys posted links with descriptions and prices similar to her first post. She can then copy and paste them and edit them into that as they come up. :nerd:

Not sure what others paid, but I was given a quote of $900 for the sliders. Though it probably would have been less if I asked for other armor.

You are correct. we will have the prototype for the KDDS model finished up shortly after we return from Moab. We're slammed right now getting ready for Overland Expo & then Rock Therapy in Moab, so our plate is full, but they are in the works for sure... along with the front plate bumper for it! :)

FYI: I like Demello over All Pro. This is based on my experience installing them on our FJ Cruisers. Less banging with a hammer trying to get them lined up. I finally had a local shop just weld the All Pros on. Both were sturdy.

My AllPros took a lot of hammering to fit too. Also a bit of grinding. I also had to weld on one side to get them on. If I didn't get mine for free, I wouldn't have bought them.

And as [MENTION=66300]Intruder[/MENTION] mentioned, just helping yourself to a peek up another man's skirt to blatantly copy a competitor's design is also a really shitty thing to do.

In the design world unfortunately it is common. I'm quite sure Toyota owns several Fords, Dodges, Chevys and everyone else's truck. They test them and take them apart piece by piece. It's almost a necessity to know what you are competing against. It is bad form to do it in public because that opens a door that the general public rarely sees.
It's not so much as copying as it is to see how they handled a specific problem or challenge. If you are the leader in a specific industry it happens a lot more. Believe it or not copying something is not the first reason for doing it. It is to figure out how they did it and make it better, cheaper, stronger or any other words that end in "er." Pretty sure GM bought a whole bunch of Tacomas when they were developing their new midsize truck. I doubt any company that designs things for a living and has a competitor does not know the competitive machine or component as well as they know their own.

The company that actually created the first Jeep in 1940 had this happen to them. The Army allowed Willys and Ford reps to get a good long look at it and crawl all over it while it was being tested (both companies had declined to build for the competition). They were then given extensions to make their own prototypes, and that company (American Bantam) was then forced out of getting any production when the contracts were awarded.

Did I happen to mention my nickname is CJ for a reason?

The latest Jicko Shrockworks GB is deadlined at 3mos. Therefore I assumed that ALL ORDERS will be out their door in less than 3mos, or else, participants will get additional 10% off (which may not be a bad thing).

There is a difference between "learning from your competition" (learning from their mistake, or improving from them with your ideas) vs "just bluntly copy".

From what I have heard, All-Pro *just* copy.... rather than taking the learn, research and develop path.... that's NO CLASS....

And then Toyota copied them and made the FJ (the 25 and 40 series, not the FJ Cruiser!).
 
Thanks HerT4R!! These "compilation" threads are a great tool. I used to spend HOURS on another forum with endless searches for information I was looking for. People like you make these forums!!
