I just installed my @4xinnovations sliders yesterday. I did a 22 degree angle, which to some may be a bit flat. I'm glad I did it this way though. When you look down on it, it still is very close to the rocker/door. I think much more of an angle would not protect as well. I also left it "flatter" to have the back kickout extend out past the rear tire too.
-there's also the benefit of door ding protection...

Anyone gotten the CBI sliders? They look good and the shop is only ~3.5 hours from me. Can't seem to find any info from the forum on these.

I didn't see any Westin links, but when I search for sliders/boards I see them listed a lot. The price is too good to be true. Anyone use these? I don't really want any on my trail, but with a short wife it's a must. I was looking at the N-Fabs but these keep popping up as suggestions.

As far as I know, Westin does make a variety of running boards or slider look a likes. I believe they even make sliders for Jeeps but I am unaware of any of them being true rock sliders for 4runners (i.e. NFab style steps).

Has anyone ordered the BAMF sliders recently?
I ordered mine 11 weeks ago, before placing the order they said they would take 6-8 weeks to get to me. It's coming up on double that time. At 8 weeks I emailed them and asked for a status update and all I got was "they are still a couple weeks out"

for the record, the OP (me) went with Shrockworks step sliders because:

1. They are well built
2. They are located in Houston
3. I wanted a step-slider style
4. I don't mind waiting

You still like these? I may want to replace my rigid running boards with some sliders, but I've got kids so need something that they can use without creating a hazard. And they're relatively local.

I believe BudBuilt, RCI and MetalTech (especially their OPOR line) are usually more "stocked" and have a lower lead time then some of the other fabricators

They're not saying it takes 12+ weeks to build - it is "lead time" as you typed out in your response. They probably take a week or 2 at most once they start (and perhaps they set everything up in batch runs depending on production methods). However, you seem to completely neglect the fact that they probably (read: definitely) have other orders ahead of yours. I'm not sure why you think they would jump you to the front of the line since it's the easier product potentially. This is a small business that generally makes things to order (other than said small batch runs, perhaps).

They are a high-quality shop and you get what you pay for. Based on your comments of wanting whatever is available now, I'd suggest you look at n-Fab sliders or something like that which may be in stock everywhere. I'll look for your post in a few months or years saying the fit or durability isn't what you hoped for and that you're changing again (and spending more money) to get a better product.

Note: I have absolutely no Shrockworks products installed or ordered, and probably won't buy from them.

4x4 Labs Sliders

I have had mine on for a few months now, and have an install write up on my build page, but I never posted a photo on this thread. These things feel seriously stout, very well built, and they look incredible. Well worth the money and have done a great job so far with rocks and logs on the trail this year. Once I have a lift and some more proper skid plating underneath they will be tested much more extensively.

i still LOVE them. the only think i would change about them is get them linex'd because i have a terrible addiction.

i got the textured PC and it feels great, they look great, they work great as a step (but maybe a little tall for kids? I wouldnt know as i dont have any but my BBBS little sister gets in and out using the step without issue and she is 7y/o).

If i had to buy again i would again buy these. To me, they cant be beat.

My comment was merely stating that waiting over 3 months for sliders to me is ridiculous. I never said anything about their quality or price as they are in line with others out there. They are sliders....either built from DOM, HREW or a combination of the two...nothing special about theirs or anyone else's. Now for you to say that a company that chooses to have a much different business plan and build things faster or have items ready to ship must build crap products is out of line to me.

I've built Land Rovers, TJ's, JK's and a Tacoma and never waited that long for anything.....custom or an off the shelf item that might not be in stock.

And trust me I'm not some kid that will buy something and complain about it later because I needed to save money. I put in a lot of research and effort into the products I buy and have no remorse when doing so.

Yeah it says 12+ weeks on the site, when I emailed them before ordering they said 6-8 weeks realistically, at 8 weeks he said "a couple more weeks", then last week hit the 12 week mark, I emailed him at 12 weeks and he didn't seem too happy to hear from me, he said they are still a few weeks out.
He said "I said most take 6-8 weeks, and that's only an estimate."

The reason I ordered these sliders was the fact that he made me feel like I would have them in 6-8 weeks.

I should have just ordered the c4 ones like I originally wanted. But I guess I'm stuck waiting till whenever they get around to making them.

In my opinion, if you are taking longer than you are quoting customers, and it being over 12 weeks for an Item that maybe takes a couple of hours to build, you really need to beef up your staff or at least start telling your customers a realistic timeline, don't just tell them what they want to hear to make the sale, then come up short when it's time to deliver.

Well finally got my sliders today, after 14 weeks and 5 days, the sliders showed up at my house like this (keep in mind that when I spoke to jerry via email, he said 6-8 weeks, and seemed very concerned with ups damaging them) no wonder customers are complaining about scratches, they aren't even packaged at all.
