right around the 7:45 mark, they start talking about the exact issue im talking about with the door contacting, with demonstration.

thanks. I'm a little worried if I get the angled ones, that my dog will get her leg stuck down in there. she's a bit clumsy getting in sometimes.

Just ordered my Outgear Solutions from Joe! Love how the kickout is minimal and it still have a solid angle with step plates!

Hi all. Ive been looking at sliders for days, as they are next on my to do list. Anyhoo i came across westcott designs in Az. Weight is a factor for me and he took the time to grab a slider and put it on a scale and sent me a pic. 41.5lb. They look decent and was told they are hi-lift compatible. At 750$ im strongly considering pulling the trigger. Anyone running or heard of them?
Yeah, Westcott's are really nice. I've seen them in person...weld art. If I had to do it over I'd get these but I already have sliders on the truck.

Indeed, from the picture the welding is a work of art. Though, for my need,I want flat with full top plate...

Are there any other pure bolt on sliders that don’t require messing with gas tank strap and tank- so far I can think of RSG and RCI.

I'm certain I've seen on here, and also have pictures on their website, of their sliders WITHOUT the kick out, is this possible to get from RCI? Its not listed as an option with a dropdown menu, but again, sure looks like they have some pictures without kick out on their website....:twitch:

I just ordered some a couple days ago--should be here in Feb. There are quite a few favorable reviews on the forum.
If you're asking me, the link I gave was for the flat sliders, no kickout, with the grip top plate. I got mine powder coated.
The advantage of the angled is they tuck up closer to the body, but give a slightly smaller step surface by doing that. They still work fine for a step. It's a matter of preference. Knowing my wife's issues entering the vehicle, I opted for the flat slider with a better surface for her to use. The flat sliders are still an enormous improvement in ground clearance from either the oem running boards or predator steps, which I had.
