OK as mentioned in another post, the Toyota Japan site has no mention of the Hilux Surf(US 4Runner). Previously when they phased out the model they replaced it with the new model page quickly.

I'm thinking that either they moved the Hilux Surf to the site with the Hilux Pickups or they got rid of the model altogether.

I saw somewhere mention of the Toyota Fortuner as the new 4Runner.

Kinda makes sense as the model is already in production and it has a V-6 and a 4 Cylinder already.

I'm hoping that I'm wrong but it makes a lot of sense.

I still have hope for a V-8 but it's a dream like me winning the Megabucks in Vegas.

Wikipedia says that the Hilux Surf was discontinued in 2009.

So whatever we get will be a big surprise.
