Constant 12V & Fog light mod..

Ive been looking around for a way to make my outlets have constant power even when the vehicle is off. Also would like to find a way to use my fog lights as I see fit(even with high beams on)
Ive found some write ups on here- most were for the 4th Gens. Anyone have a detailed write up for these two mods?? Thanks in advance!

Sweet! thanks alot!! but now that raises another question- Ive got the day time running lights(disconnected) according to that you've got to do something different as a result.

Did you read the comments at the bottom? I think that's covered.

With a good battery, I LOVE the constant 12V power mod. I gotta thank driffter33 for telling me about it and providing me with the wire.

Just got a sweet light that is magnetic and plugs into the cig lighter... very helpful. Another driffter inspired purchase :D

Yea I saw the comments at the bottom- was hoping someone on here could put that in english or take a picture. I'm no electrician lol, so pin # and all that is gyberish to me. Did the 12v mod tho, loving the fact that i can finally charge things all the time now...

You're going to make me work? Sigh....

Forget the pin numbers. Can you find the D8 (DRL) relay just to the right of the steering column? You need to find the green-black wire going to the relay. Cut it. Splice a wire to the end going into the steering column, not the end going to the DRL relay. Connect the other end of the new wire to any good little ground you can find. You have now bypassed the OEM foglight defeat circuit. Then do the rest as per J.A.'s original post.

I can't take a photo as I have a '99. But they can be found. Here are some from GottaBeTRD:

That thing with the blue label is the DRL relay--the blue label says so.

Thank You! lmao, this thing has frustrated the sh$t out of me- Everything is done, all works great! I had no idea what the relay looked like as there are more then enough wires under there to choose from. Mine actually looks a little different- much different angel, gray and not labeled as to what it actually is. Im gonna take some pictures at some point this weekend so someone else doesnt have the same issue. Thanks again!!

Possible, as those pics are of an '01. If you can find a green-black wire in the connector I'd take a chance. If the grey module has a part number, google it and see if it comes back as a DRL relay.
