Contemplating supercharger install on '96 Sr5

Hey folks.... New 4Runner owner here....

I picked up a '96 3.4 SR5 this last week. 5Spd and overall in excellent condition. 205k miles (yes, 205k), but all maintenance done at the dealership since new.

I'm thinking about putting a supercharger on it.

Key details:

I plan on doing the fueling and supercharger
It's my daily driver about half the time whenever I give the Audi a break
motor has checked out good (compression, etc)

I've done a lot of searching and research, but I don't think I've seen anyone installing a sc'er kit on a 5spd. Does anyone know if a stock clutch will hold?

Any other details I should be concerned with?

i got one for my s-runner and love it. but still need to retard the timing as well as up the fuel, I have some upgraded injectors but need a better way to adjust the fuel. my stock clutch holds for now, but it will burn up pretty quick.

Find Gadget, I think his website is like http://www.gadgetonline.com/4Run.htm or something. He's got all your answers.

As for the stock tranny holding the supercharger, your looking in the wrong place, most T100's and Tacoma's that I know of are supercharged with the 5-speed, and its the same tranny as yours. To answer the question though, your 5 speed will hold it better than the auto will, alot of times the syncro's go bad in the Auto after some "heavy" usage, of course your clutch will go a little faster with the charger, but that completely depends on how you drive it too

Yotatech has a fair amount of SC'd 5 speeds and they've never complained about it and I'd assume it's better built to handle the power more so than the auto.
