just wanted to give a real world review of these tires. we put them on last fall on our 06 sr5 4wd. these tires have done excellent in the snow, mud and rain. the wife said this winter she rarely had to put it in awd. i just got back from camp where i drove on snow and mud. on a packed snow road and fresh heavy wet snow road it was throwing up snow behind me in 2wd. drove on a partially snow covered mainly mud road had to put in 4wd half way down it mainly due to ruts in the road. ponding water on roads this past oct, nov, dec and these peformed fine. best tires we have had on our runner. 1st set were the oem bridgestone dueler which made it 38,000 miles worked well for us. next were dayton timberlines, made it 30000 miles. terrible tires, i got a good price on them. i wonder strongly recommend the continental cross contacts. only negative and its not a big deal to us, road noise more pronounced. i dont usually do reviews but these have been impressive mainly in snow, ice, slush. and we are not done with winter yet.
