need 2 catalytic converter suggestions, to include brand, model #, type (universal or direct fit), OEM or after market, and source. Also need description of what the original catalytic conv looked like - assuming it's best to get one that's simliar in shape. Ours was CUT out, leaving the O2 sensors intact. It was a california emissions conv. It's now registered in Charlottesville, Virginia and we never plan on registering it in California but also don't want any hassels with Va. inspections. Allstate gave us a check for a Toyota grade replacement but they are backordered 2 weeks and we don't need that level of a replacement but do want a good one. 1997 Toyota 4 runner 4 wheel drive, 2.7L, Engine family: VTY2-72JGKEK (note 72, NOT 71).
