easier to swap out the entire rear end!!!!!!!!!!! save you lots of time and aggravation.
i was gonna suggest ARB air lockers.I 2nd 410toy.
I bought a third with an e-locker in it and re-sold it because it was just too much of a PITA. You need to weld on metal to your existing carrier, drill and tap the holes and machine it flat. You also have to make up a relay pack. It's a good route if you have the time but not the money but I just decided to spend the extra $300 and get ARBs if I ever get around to adding lockers.
If you get the axle hub to hub it's a lot easier.
BGMAC easier to deal with this while she is still a Fiance' and not a wife. Might be good to break her in to the fact you like to mod and will be spending money on occasion to do so. Just saying..

Ok, I found this link! http://www.sonoransteel.com/Toyota_axle_codes.html
But its still kinda confusing. My model is #VZN185L-GKPZKA
Now it gives you two options..one with 4.10 & 4.30 w/265/70/16. So if my 4Runner comes with 265/70/16..I have 4.30?
theres one in which you plug ur vin into to get all this crap, btw i have 4.10 and i have 265/70R16
Come on John..thats not much help. Thats like saying "you saw this really hot girl" and then, you dont describe what she looks like.
