The "a-hole" who turned right in front of the cop got lucky he didn't get pulled over and cited.

I last year a toyota minivan rear ended me going about 30-40 mi hour. My rear end had a few scratches on the bumper which wasnt to bad. The minivan went under my rear end and pretty much toasted the front his van. The van had to be towed away due to the damage.

In the video, it fuuny to hear the cop say "Oh F..K

There's something about that video that kind of irkes me. It looks to me like the 4runner and the other car to it's right could have rolled through the green light instead of stopping dead and causing a potentially fatal accident. Lucky nobody died all in the name of the law.

UH, really....might want to brush up on your traffic laws as they are required to yield to an oncoming emergency vehicle. The guy who hit from behind is 100% at fault and clearly NOT paying attention.

Something similar happened to me yearss ago. A SUV in front of me suddenly stopped and I had to hit the brakes all the way ...I stopped on time but the car behind the lady was takling on the phone .... I looked through my rearview mirror and saw her coming....if she was paying attention she could have stopped on time but she wasn't.... because I clearly saw her talking on the phone...I couldn't move and just waited for the hit. She had and SUV as well. My Subaru Legacy was totalled she hit me and I ended up hitting the suv in front....me and my youngest son (4 years old back then) had to go several months to therapy for neck injuries. We were lucky .

Definetely 100% faul of who hits from behind . People need to pay more attention while driving. Even if I have the right to go (green light) I still look and double check if something is coming. You never know.

I'm guessing the 4runner ended up with some frame damage though. I know if it was mine I'd have it looked over several times. Hell, I probably wouldn't even want it back regardless.

Was your volume working when you wacthed the video? The cop was on a call with his lights and siren ON. That means civilians must yeild no matter the situation. That car was clearly at fault.

Sorry to whoever that 4Runner owner is. It really sucks when something like that happens that's completely out of your control

Like others have said, that car is definitely at fault. The officer clearly had his siren going and emergency lights on. He also paused before making the left hand turn to make sure traffic had stopped. The driver in the 4Runner was correct in yielding to an emergency vehicle attempting to cross his lane. The person in the car obviously wasn't paying attention because they didn't even make an attempt to slow down before plowing into the rearend of the 4Runner.

This kind of thing happens ALL the time. I've been involved in the emergency services for 10 years now. I've driven ambulances and fire engines and rode in police cars. I've only been involved in one accident while going on a call so far *knocks on wood* and you wouldn't believe how many near-misses I've seen. The majority of people don't pay attention!!
