Cool 5 Speed Shift Knob

As all of you know, i am a huge manual transmission and Land Rover nut, well when i still had the Defender it had a spare shift knob in it, i stole it before we sold it, and about a year ago i installed it as my shifter Knob because i hated the leather one and i thought this one matched the interior better. He is a pic of it installed and a place where you can get 1 if you like it. It fits great.

Go to the shift Knobs on the page, and its the Knob for the R380

that is nice!!!

no problem with the threading?

joel

Its just hard plastic that i just twisted onto the threads on the the gearstick, and it tapped itself, it has held for over a year now and you can pull it and it wont come off. If i uncrew it you can see the threads in it from the gear stick.

i'm bumping the heck out of this thread! i love that knob. anyone else try this? Particularly about longevity of it lasting if you screw it down onto the threads? i see the part is $22 at that website the OP listed..and i think it looks slick. not over the top like most of the skull, beer can and racerX knobs. my shifter is pretty worn and wanted something simple and classic to swap it.

I love your shifter! Did the same thing..my pic is not nearly as good as yours (crummy phone camera) but I really like it

Mine is still on there, didn't see you bump the the thread, I like it far better than the knobs in my other cars, glad someone else likes it!

i love it! its a little harder on my hand than my old 'well oiled for years from sweaty palms' but i love how well it matches the 4WD shifter and how much newer it makes the whole shifter set look. i'm sure as more oil from my hands seep into it it won't feel quite so rough.

Mine is smooth on top now, the roughness wore away quickly.
