Cool Cars Thread

who is your friend and what does he do lol :thumb:

Think of him as the Tony Montana of the West coast. lol. J/K. He started out in home construction, but had expanded that into home/apartments/commercial as well as a myriad of other ventures. Super smart guy who's even smarter with his money. Outside of cars that is...

CJ7 was a project my dad, brother and i worked on.

33s, new seats, 1" body lift, 3" suspension lift, new radio, carb and tune-up and a bunch of electrical problems

I must be a car snob because about 80% of the cars I've seen posted are not what I'd call "cool".

I like me some good old American Muscle for cool. Here's my 72 Z/28. It's a real documented Z/28 but the original 350 has been replaced with a worked 454 that's pushing out just over 500HP. That power runs back through a Tremec 5 speed trans to a 12 bolt posi rear with 3:73 gears. In the first pic it is sitting next to my buddy's 70 Nova SS which has a 572 big block Chevy that puts out just over 800HP.

This is me and my group of car buddies. The red 65 Nova has a 383 stroker and is tubbed, then my Z, then my buddy's 70 Nova. The gold car belongs to my buddy Paul. It's a 67 Camaro with a 375HP 350 with aluminum heads a turbo 350 trans and a 10 bolt rear with 3:73 gears. The last car, the one in green, is my buddy Corey's 71 Chevelle. It has a 383 stroker with aluminum heads, a Holley fuel injection system, a Tremec 5 speed stick, and a 12 bolt rear with 3:55 gears.

I've never been in to lambos and the like. More of an off road type of guy. While it wasn't much of an off-road machine, it was a blast to drive. Sometimes I wish I never sold it. But then again, the frontier was replaced by my 4Runner which I will drive until it blows up--then restore and drive until it blows up again:thumb:

Yep, sounds like you are. Lol. Just messing with you. That's the beauty of automobiles. No one says you have to like them all or like the ones others like. Me, I'd say I'm the opposite. I love cars/trucks/etc etc. Especially classics. From no matter what country. Pieces of art.

I snapped a couple quick cell phone shots during a photoshoot of my car yesterday, figured you guys might enjoy them :)

For example, this! Modern, foreign and badda$$!

And what I think is a cool shot of my (opinion of course!) cool car.

Wanna' be first?

I do a lot of commission drawings for car restorers and collectors plus some just for my own enjoyment.

I haven't done a single Toyota yet - must be because there are just so many around.......

How much would you charge? Could you do it from pictures like this:

Haha. Thanks. And yes, that's a trailblazer ss. It was my baby. Little bit of work and so fun to drive. My 4Runner replaced it though so no regrets.

Yes I can work from that.

I sent you a pm with a quote and my contact information.

BTW: That's one good looking truck. It would be a good subject for my first 4Runner painting.
