Cool LED flashlight charges in 12v outlet

I installed the Toyota ashtray option as an expensive but neat way of gaining an extra 12v outlet. I am happy with the results except when I am not using the outlet there is an exposed outlet ready to catch a foil wraper and blow a fuse. As I don't smoke I didn't want to put the lighter in the scoket.
I found my solution at REI, a small LED flashlight that charges in your power socket. Internet searches revealed that this device does not fit the sockets of some cars but it fits all sockets in the 4runner just fine. It throws a lot of light for its size. The device is marketed by coast products, item number TT7575CP. My local REI has them in their flashlight display area and also online. Amazon lists several sellers that have them as well.

Nope. Similar. The Coast unit I bought cost a bit more ($20.00) but I bet it throws more light. I have several Coast flashlights, they are a bit expensive but they have better reflectors and lenses than any other brand I have tried.

2004 Runner

Looks like you have the ashtray option. I have the same light and it is too loose in my 2004 Limited. (With the included adapter, it is too large). Since it isn't tight in the receptacle, it never charges.

I gave to my daughter and it fits perfectly in her 2008 Mazda3.
