coolant/ antifreeze

I searched, but couldn't find the answer to the following question.....I have an '04 V6, am I supposed to fill (top off) the coolant reservoir to the lower mark (I can't make out the letter on this) when the engine is cold or the upper mark (says "F" on it)?

Check the coolant reservoir when the engine is cold.

The bottom mark is "Low", and the upper mark is "Full".

Add more if the level is low, but never add any above the Full mark. The level is fine anywhere between the two marks. It doesn't have to be up to "Full" to work properly.
