Coolant leak not the WP

OK guys, I just got done resealing my WP (second time in 4yrs) because I though it had sprung a leak right near the thermostat. Turns out (after everything was together again) that the leak is still there, I am not sure if it is from the WP assembly itself or just below that area. This is not your normal drip-drip-drip, it is a stream. I think the assembly below the WP is the oil pump. Is there some sort of water cooling going to the oil pump assembly?

'95 4Runner, 3.0l, 220k+mi.

That is the whole thing after I broke down the WP. The leak appears to be from near the bottom of the thermostat area...

This is where I see coolant escaping from, so maybe I just did not get the WP to seal. It is definitely coming from the metal, not from the plastic pipe that seats the thermostat.

OK, a Sherlock Holmes moment--sorry, the simplest explanation was the answer here. The WP bearing was leaking. The thing that threw me was the location of the weep hole. Next time I may not be so cheap and just get a new WP from the beginning.
