Coolant leaking from side of motor?

On the way to work today, I saw steam coming from under the hood as I turned into the parkinglot. I popped the hood and could hear the steam whistling from near the back left side of the motor. I let it cool down, and tried to add more coolant, and it is leaking badly from somewhere near the rear left corner of the motor near where the head meets the block. (I really can't tell if it's the side or the back). It's not gushing like from a water hose, but is a steady stream.

Could this be the dreaded headgasket? I can't find any hoses going back there. How can I find out for sure?

Check your oil, if it has coolent mixed in it its the headgaskets.

Do you have a heater for the rear passengers? maybe a line headed back there.

i don't think heater water gets hot enough to steam like mentioned, maybe you have a nicked freeze plug that started letting water out.
