I have a 97 4runner v6 that is losing coolant and burning it up in the exhaust. There is no sign of coolant in the oil and has a #3 cylinder misfire. Could this possibly only be a manifold gasket and not a head gasket.
Carefully check at the top rear of the engine and firewall where the heater hoses are. You may have a leak there since it is above the exhaust manifold. I had a leak because the hoses were cracked. I replaced all of them. Not hard to do.:hatsoff:
