Cooper Discoverer A/T3, Nitto Terra Grappler or Grappler G2's

I don't have experience with those tires so I can't say. Both brands have gotten pretty good feedback. I think overall though the Coopers have gotten a little higher praise but I would certainly try the Nitto's for the right price. I'm just saying be careful buying the cheapies out there you've never heard of to save a couple bucks.

Tires I've run and thought were well worth the money... Cooper At3's, Bridgestone Revo's, Firestone AT's & Michelin LTX's. I pretty much buy whatever I can get the best deal on at the time (though they do need to look decent as well). I bought my Coopers for around $450-$500 out the door... so they were a no brainer with the reviews they've gotten. Best wishes!

I could always keep the Dunlops I guess and replace them when they are ready in 3-4 years.

I had Michelin LTX MS2's on my LE most of last winter and then changed the 20's out for 17's and went with the C load AT3's. Got to use them in the end of winter in VT and they were much better in deep snow than the Michelin's.

Another AT tire out there is the Nokian Rotiiva AT which has the snow flake rating. Based on some positive comments here, I recently put a set on the wife's Rav4 and I'm impressed.

I have the AT3's on mine right now. Great tire for daily driving and great in the snow too. This thing is a tank in 10" of snow with the Coopers. I'd definitely recommend them.

You've probably made up your mind, but here is some personal experience for on road driving.

Had the Nittos on my 06 Tacoma for about 6 years and I dreaded the short rainy season here in southern California because I had to try hard to not spin my wheels from a stop, I'm talking about barely giving it gas or there goes my traction. Hated that and I always thought it was because I had no weight in the rear. Swapped to Cooper AT3 a few months back and I have better traction, I can actually accelerate normally and not loose traction now.

Based off of my experience I purchased the Cooper ATP for my 4Runner and have no regrets. Just my 2 cents worth.

I was going to go there since they had them in stock. I never had them install tires nor do I know how good they are.

Blains did fine with the install... $300-$350 is probably a more realistic range for your Dunlops. That's what I got for mine with 500 miles which left getting the AT3's for not a lot more. The Dunlops were fine though to me for the few miles I put on them... I just wanted a little more aggressive tire for the little off roading I do. The tread is actually pretty decent for the occasional offroader IMO. If you watch some of the Trail videos, they do some pretty incredible things with those stock tires.

No real reason other than I like the look a little better without... looks good either way though.

Nitto G2’s were just released in October 2014. I can’t find much info on them either. It will be some time until reviews start to surface.

Honestly if you want to get rid of them quick you need to have them already uninstalled. I would sell them for 200-300. People won't bite above that. Discount Tire was able to give me a credit of $200 on mine so I just let em have them and it saved me the trouble of having to try and sell them

I'm also looking at getting the 285 nitto g2 in p rated. I like the weight of them compared to the at3 and the are more available than the at3 in p rated from discount. I figure if Toyota is using them (regular not g2) as oem equipment now they are happy with the performance mpg wise and safety wise.
