Hello i have a 4Runner 2023 sr5 Premium that came with

nitto terra grappler P265/70r17 113S tires

On the tire is written 35psi max pressure - is that cold max pressure or should i fill them to 32 and when they expand max they can reach hot is 35psi?

should i fill them cold to 35psi?

There is a sticker on the drivers door jam that shows what tire pressure to use. Don't use a pressure molded onto the tires.

Hmmm...the door say's 32 but i think that would be the toyota factory tires or? is this rule of thumb also for those tires even if they say 35psi?

The best balance of wear and ride quality on stock suspension is the door lable-which is 32psi cold. Tires warm up when driven-4to 6 psi.
So you can decide to fill cold at 30 and then driven and warm will be 34 to 36 psi.
A lot depends on your climate temperatures.
Tire wear should be even across the tread.
When sun hits one side of vehicle tires that side go up in pressure first.
I monitor my tire pressures with Scanguage 2.

If the new tires are the same size and same load range, then you use the same pressure as shown on the door jam.

If the tires are a different size or load range, then both Tire Rack and Discount Tire show how to determine the right pressure for your unique situation.

Pressures noted on the sidewall are always max cold pressures.

If you replaced the tire with the same size and load rating as stock, then stock pressures as noted in the manual or door jam are fine.

If something changed, size, load rating etc., then you can do the math from the attached tables to find out where you need to be to maintain the vehicle's rated load carrying ability.

this works well too. take the load rating, take your 4runner rating, adjust accordingly.

Thank you all! i bought a ridgid 18v inflator, and a separate digital pressure gauge and set up my 4runner to exactly 32psi on cold conditions without driving....and all tires showed perfectly the same pressure

Meanwhile before i drove to Costco to inflate the tires the measurements were always uneven and all over the place...

I have that exact same tire and size/ load range . At 32 to 33 lbs and they ride and wear fine .
