COPS took my plates!!!! Advice

I was driving to a buddies house to tear apart my brakes to fix them (almost gone by the way, not too smart driving like that) along with my suspension. Now my 87' four runner is very noticable. Sits on 39.5 super swampers. Stands out just a little. So I got pulled over and the cop noticed brake fluid coming from my rear drum. Writes me a ticket and takes the plates off my truck. Any ideas on how to get them back. Im assuming if I get the vehicle inspected I could go to the DMV and get new plates. But how do I drive the vehicle to get inspected with no plates....

LOL...... I'm pretty sure he had more of a reason than just the fact that you were leaking fluid. Well you can start with asking him: Wtf are you doing? (next is my only serious comment) Call the watch commander and complain because you were on your way to fix it. The highway isn't a freakin race track and no1 is going to slip on brake fluid and spin out at 70mph. It takes a little more like almost pushing 200 (doesn't that redneck watch NASCAR). But anyways HA HA HA HA you got punked. Oh and I think either you are a liar or you are leaving something out.:FOS:

Well I went to the DMV and got new plates. My plates were taken because well, I had no brakes at all. After the cop noticed my drum was leaking fluid he asked me to get in and test the brakes for him. After he realized what was going on, he took my plates on the fact that the truck was unsafe to drive. All I had to do was fix the brakes, get it inspected, and show proof to the DMV. Oh, and a $250 ticket that went along with it. Damn Virginia cops. Never would have happened back home in Texas.
