Cornfed 3/2 and Spidertrax: THE WORK BEGINS

Hey everyone...

I finally have found some time to throw on my Spidertrax wheel spacers. Let me tell everyone that pictures do not do it justice! Everyone should have these. The stance is so much more aggressive still keeping that factory look. The ride is exactly the same to me, I have noticed no changes in ride quality. I still have my front level spacer installed. Tomorrow I am installing the 3/2 kit. More pictures to come this week.

Do not make fun of me using the spare tire changing kit....yes I need to buy a jack. I have a question though...When I install my 3/2 will my spare changing kit still work because of the lift? Will I have to buy a different jack?

the spidertrax are great, you will love it even more when that lift goes on. I assume you are upsizing your tires as well. The factory jack will come in handy with the lift install. It is not a bad jack at all. It will still work with the lift and larger tires, but you may need to jack directly from the axle in the rear, or the lower control arm in the front. I bought a nice floor jack, and actually prefer the factory jack still because the handle on my floor jack is too short.

That does it. I am now thoroughly convinced that I need to get the wheel spacers put on my rig. Thanks for posting pictures, as I've wanted to see what they would look like on a 4R that just has a leveling kit installed and not lifted (mine is not lifted).

lift installed after 2 days of trying to get the lower strut mount bolt out on the passenger side. it seized up hard core. i had to cut it and drill a hole through the bolt then use a push through to finally knock the little bas**** out. i recommend putting anti seize on every bolt you take off.

THE LIFT IS SOO SEXY! THE SPIDERTRAX spacers make such a huge difference! I am stoked!!! I have had so many heads turn! I cant afford new tires yet so I am going to keep the stock dunflops on for another year. They dont look too small in person so i feel better now and can wait a bit for new tires.

So if I am correct , the 4 alum.spacers are for front .( 2 top out and 2 preload) and the white ones are for the rear ...correct ?? What are the white one's made of ? They look like Nylon.

you are correct.....the white is some kind of plastic SUUUPER STRONG material...i dont know exactly what it is but very heavy...

Just to make it clear to everyone btw I was able to utilize my existing bumpstops. I have read from others "dissing" this kit because they said you were not able to utilize the factory bumpstops.....that statement is incorrect as I had plenty of room to keep my bumpstops in place. It took me 20 mins to install the rears

Pictures coming soon! Man does my ride look so much sexier! Anything smaller in my opinion now is non-comparable. The 3/2 is at the perfect heighth. It is not jurrastic and still keeps the factory look but with an aggressive kick!

I was worried when I install the 3/2 and spidertrax that my existing tires and wheels would look off. They still look great the spidertrax are the icing! Now dont get me wrong some beefy tires will be the complete piece though but hey i am not rich!

I am telling you what....when I put the spidertrax with just my leveling kit...I actually was tempted to sell my 3/2 kit because it looked that much better with the spidertrax....You will lOVE THEM...buy them from Burtmanidustries.com though...lol

i answered my question during the install....a regular floor jack works just fine with a 3/2 lift! in fact it was handy that i had 2 floor jacks!

She is not nice and clean. She doesn't have new shoes either but damn she still looks sexy. I will have some clean pictures soon too. At least everyone can get an idea of what these sexy rigs look like with Spidertrax and a Cornfed 3/2 on factory tires and rims.

The little crappy bolt that was seized! Not even a sludge hammer worked. Had to cut it then drill all the way through then use a push through.

I had a very similar bolt that's in right now as a replacement ...the new one just arrived from Toyota Parts. I have to put it in now...yippie.

Now, on the Spidertrax, we bought 30 sets just for us, which will ship may 18-19th. I ONLY HAVE 10 SETS LEFT, so if anyone else wants a set, I'd order in the next 1-2 days so you get a set. If you wait, it's going to be another 1-2 months until they can make more.

LEAKAGE as a result from lift???

Hi all,

I just got done changing my front rotors my front calipers grrrr and pads front and back.

Guess what I saw all over my wheel wells in the front??!! AXLE GREASE...I have axle grease coming out from the bands on the inner and outer axle boots BOTH SIDES!!! There was no leakage before my lift!

Has anyone else had similar experiences???? PLLLLLEASE HELP! I hope I have a bit before I will have to change the front axles? Is there aftermarket axles that are made for 4runners that have lifts??
