Cornfed Lift Install

Just installed my Cornfed lift this weekend and it's a great fit! I was able to cram in some P285/70TR-17 Bridgestone Dueler tires with the help of 1/4" wheel spacers and a little bit of cutting the trim pieces in the wheel well and mud flap. The ride is not rough at all, and it handles fine. Hope everyone likes it!

Did you do thet install yourself? I want to do a lift on my truck (same year and model as yours) too.

I was lucky enough to have my sisters fiance help me out with the lift. He's a Toyota technician at the local dealership, so we went to the shop and used the lift and tools he has. The total job, including mounting and balancing the tires only took 4 hours. It helps knowing people like that!

I see you have the Gibson exhaust. How long have you had it? Any pics of it?

I put the Gibson system on last July. It sounds great along with the K&N Intake. I'll post pics of both of them within a few days for you to see.

I assume you left the X-Reas in?

I left X-Reas in. It really wasn't anything to disconnect the lines to get the front shocks out. The lines have needle valves so they don't leak fluid like a brake line when they are disconnected.

Thanks for the response. I really like the way your rig turned out. When my suspension goes south someday, I'd like to do the same. Does any one know if the X-Reas is somehow connect to the car's computer system. I'm not understanding the "shift or borrowing" of fluids.

From what I've seen the X-Reas system is not tied into the vehicles computer. The system is controlled by a central valve, almost like the proportioning valve that can be found in some brake systems of old cars/trucks.

I could have sworn the Gibsons exited to the side like the Magnaflow! Oh well, proved me wrong

Yeah, it's supposed to. Gibson lists it as a side swept exhaust, so it should come out behind the rear tire at an angle (similar to the MF). Every picture of the Gibson system I've seen has it exiting the rear, though. I may try to contact Gibson and see what the deal is.

Outstanding !!

Just what I needed to see. I am debating this set up vs the Revtek. I like the 285's on the stock wheels. This is what should have rolled out of all toyota showrooms. Any updates ?
