Correct OEM Strut for '99 Tall Coils

I've got two different part numbers for the front struts to go with '99 "tall" coils, 48510-39436 and 48510-39585. The 39436 is quite a bit more expensive than the 39585. In one document I looked at, it looks as though the 39436 is for 4WD vehicles. Can anyone confirm the correct part number? I have a 2000 Limited with 4WD. Thanks!

Part # 48510-39436 is for the 4wd model with 16" wheels. It is number 5 in the part diagram in the following link, scroll down for the parts list. It might prove cheaper from the link as well.

Not to steal the thread but to expand on it, that brings up a question I have.

Why do they specify different shocks for with and without 16 inch wheels? Anyone know for certain? What are the differences?

Not quite sure, perhaps the different wheel size came with lighter front weight on the 4-cylinder models requiring a different valving for the struts?

IIRC... the 225 tire (15inch wheel) is smaller, so it doesn't need the height the 265 tire needs. so a 'lower' shock is used.

Type & Material: Styled steel (alloy)
Tire Size: P225/75R 15 (P265/70R 16)

Calc:
225/75r15 - 28.3 inch Diameter
265/70r16 - 30.6 inch Diameter

a whole 2.3 inch smaller wheel, so it was 1.15inch difference to the fender, I'm 'guessing' they used the other shock to bring the tire to the same 'distance' as the bigger tire.
