Cosmetic issues on 2007 Sports Edition

I bought my used 2007 V8 Sports Edition at the beginning of the year. It had some small problems here and there that I have slowly fixed. Now, I am looking to fix some cosmetic issues on the exterior of the truck. When I bought it, there was nothing wrong with the grill. However, we had some really cold weather in CO at the end of 2014 and the top of the grill crinkled on one of the coldest days. I have never seen this happen on another 4Runner. I was wondering if anyone knows if I can replace just that one top part on the grill or if I will need to buy another grill all together. Is it easy to remove the old grill and install a new one? Also, the chrome paint on my rims is chipping away. Could these be sand blasted and repainted? Or would it be less of a hassle and less expensive to just buy new rims? I really like the grey TRD pro wheels but don't want to spend around $800 for a new set.

A new grill on eBay would be anywhere from $50-100 and yes it's easy to swap. The better option would be to pull it off, light sand the chipping paint away and paint it any color you like. As for the wheels, I'd paint those too. Plastidip isn't permanent and looks 'okay' or you could use some actual wheel paint and they would hold up well if you took the time to prep them. Either way if you are looking to do it cheap, paint them yourself.

My wheels looked just like yours, only 10x worse. I found a pair of 8 hole fj wheels on the fj forums for a good price. I'd give them a look; and for a set of 4 you should be able to stay well under 500 bucks. Best of luck.
