Recently, one of our customers reached out, reporting an issue with his rear camera after installing our LED bulbs. The camera showed streaks of light, which led to some concerns:

Common causes of rear camera interference usually include Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) or Voltage Fluctuations. This can manifest as flickering or shaky images, darkened or blurred screens, or even a complete blackout. However, the issue this customer experienced is slightly different from typical interference.

Lasfit advised the customer to inspect the LED bulbs externally. If the bulbs are working fine but the rear camera continues to display this behavior, it’s likely due to the aftermarket LED bulb causing interference. Could this be related to the hyperflash issue with turn signals, when turn signal bulbs were replaced by LED's?

I have both turn signals and reverse lights from lasfit. Only issue I get is when using the hazard lights for long period of time, it will hyper flash one side.
The picture shown isn't a 5th gen 4Runner.

No. Hyper flash is when the car electronics thinks a light bulb is burned out (takes less current); it is a warning to the driver that a light bulb may be burned out. Some older Lasfit LED lights, when they get too hot, turn off, so the car senses less current.

LED reverse and license plate lights are known causes of backup camera interference. it's best to stick to OEM spec bulbs here unless you want to deal with wiring in capacitors to stabilize the 12v DC to the camera. do lasfit bulbs have bases with built in capacitors to stabilize the power source?

some people have issues some don't, depends on vehicle and brand of lights, and how everything is wired up
