Can Aftermarket LED Bulbs Mess with Your Key Fob Remote?

Recently, we heard from a Lasfit customer who shared their experience after installing some aftermarket lights:
"I put a pair of your switchback fog lights in my 2020 Honda Civic. I got them as a gift. After installing them, my remote start from my key fob stopped working. Is this a known issue? If so, is there a workaround?"

While this isn't a common issue—generally, lights shouldn't interfere with your vehicle's other systems—it did happen!

Not sure about cars but I put led lights on my garage ceiling and when they are on the remote does not work. the manual for the lights states this also. It says on my garage door opener light not to use a led light because the remote will not work also.

I would have the customer swap the lights back to original and see if the problem goes away. Also ask if they disconnected the battery before the swap. There are reports here of light and bulb swapping with bad results when done with battery connected. A small short circuit when changing a bulb can damage one of the many computer circuits with expensive results.

So far so good for my install of the Lasfit 921 6000k reverse bulbs. No remote issues.
