couple quick questions??

So i just started spraying every thing with pentrating oil under my runner to get it ready for lift and ease process. first question is it looks like you need to be a magician to get to the rear shock nuts on top of strut and there rusted badly. Is there i trick to removing these? i think im going to just sazzal the shafts to get them off, any thing else i should know? lift should be here in week or so so trying to prepare as best i can. any help would be appriacated, thanks

yep sawzall those sobs off !!!!!!! i find putting a needle nose vice grip inbeteen the metal collar's on the shocks makes tighting them easier also haveing even a small air tank with a impact gun is very usefull ... for the front undo the 4 bolts for the lower ball joint helps a buch dont forget blue locketite and tighten them to 59 ft lbs

cool thats what i figured, iv been spraying every thing every day for past week to help. anything else i should look out for or pay attention to? and to install rear springs whats the best way there was a guy on here who had it down to a science and did not use spring compressers...... ??

yeah 890s or 891 ones not sure what ones im gogin to go with. is there a simple easy way to install these?

yep its easy take the spare out jack it up take the tires off place it on jack stands..... leave the jack under the axle with a few pumps... unbolt the swaybar end links.... cut the old shocks off not recommend if u wanna reuse them lol ... undo the bottom bolts and lower the jack .... and wiggle the old springs or they should pretty much fall out out reuse the rubber cones put the new ones in turn them to where they hit the stop marks and are seated you will see what i mean.... you can put one spring on one side put the bottom bolt on the shock jack it up tell it hits the hole now some how snake your arm in there start the nut with the bushings and washers in first tighten it tell the bushing compress's a little then lower the jack and do the other side

this is where having someone help you is good but doable by yourself also the rear springs one is slightly taller that goes on the drivers side

Definitely Sawzall the shocks off... as for the rear coils, the key is unbolting the swaybar as well as jacking up the opposite side of the axle you are trying to remove the spring from.

or standing on your rear hub to drop the axle with 220 lbs of weight! :bluejump:

yeah, you shouldnt need spring compressors for the rear, and definitely not for the front unless you are putting your strut assembly together,
