Cracked 3rd Brake Light Cover on Spoiler

The 3rd brake light cover got bumped while loading my kayak the other day on my 2004 4runner V8 SR5. I think it's called the 3rd Brake and mine has it on the spoiler.

Does anyone know if I can somehow replace just the red light cover? I'm having trouble finding a replacement anywhere online and from what I've seen, I'd either have to pay for a whole new spoiler, a new 3rd brake assembly, or just put red tape over it and try to forget about it.

As I recall, from having to replace mine, it is a one piece assy. The light source is actually LED's, and the cover/lens is glued to the body of the assy., I don't recall how much I paid for it, but it isn't cheap. According to Partznet, it is called a High Mount Lamp, part # 81570-35100, and lists for $223.94. Partznet discounts it to $154.82. Try an online search for that part #, and you may find it for less, maybe on ebay. And, as I recall, you will have to remove the spoiler to remove and install the new lamp assy.

Yeah thats pretty much what I’ve found so far.
The crack’s not extremely noticeable, so I’ll probably just find a way to cover/seal it and move on. Appreciate the response.

i stumbled on this was searching for a cheaper fix , as my 3rd brake light is not lighting up. removed the assy and its glued together, tried a heat gun to separate them..no dice. am a cheap skate, not willing to shell out$70 for the lights, still holding up for a cheaper fix
