***Cracked Dashboard Action Request***

Waiting almost two years here in Houston. Anyone get theirs replaced here lately? I was told 3-6 months initially.

Have you been following up with the dealer, it's a good idea to check with them every month or two just to make sure your place in line/dash order didn't fall through the cracks?

I submitted my request for a new dash to Toyota Canada yesterday. Hopefully we can get a few more Canadians with the same problem to follow suit. My dash is split along the lip over the gauges and has multiple cracks near the bottom of the "A" pillar to the windshield. We go through fairly extreme climates up here, with 50C+ temps with the humidex to -40C winters. I know of quite a few 4th gen 4runners in Ontario with the same problem. Seems like there are a few more in the forum here too. We need to quit doing the "Canadian Thing" by saying "Oh Well" and complain to Toyota Canada a bit more. After all, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. The WEP ZE6 is living proof of that. Cheers to you lads across the border for getting it done!

Just took mine in today to have it inspected and they ordered it. Dealer said it should be about a month and I'll have the bumper installed. Central Ohio here.

Update on my cracked dash from Toyota Canada......No Dice! Not enough Canadians have complained about their cracked dashes for Toyota Canada to take action.

Didn't even take 2 weeks from the time I took the wife's 4Runner for inspection and installation for a new dash. Extremely happy with this dealership.

Well it looks like coming up closer to the deadline that many are getting their new dashes with a much less waiting period!!

Just bought an 03 with cracked dash. Called the nearest dealer prior to purchase and confirmed that they would replace. Just need to bring it innfor inspection prior to the end of May.

Manager said they have been waiting for about two months and counting for one.

I need timing belt etc. as well. Dealer was best price around here at $750, so getting that and a couple other things done aswell.

Even though i got new dash installed by Molle Toyota of Kansas City it has being rattling like crazy. They refuse to fix it because it has been 13 month and they guarantee work for 12 month only. I do not trust them enough anymore to do it right and not willing to pay for it. I'll be taking this thing apart myself and fixing the rattle since dealer is PIA and reluctant to make things right. Just proves what I knew already: Dealer Service is there to make money and not to retain customers, if they drop few - they will just get new ones until those leave as well. Service area is always busy. Only if customers knew how terrible is the quality of repairs they would never come back.

So after 10 months of waiting, got the call from Centennial Toyota here Vegas, that my dash was in. I couldn't believe it, in fact, had resigned any thought that Toyota would honor this extended warranty, so I stopped caring. Well I gotta say, Centennial did a bang up job, and under 8 hours. I actually have to get used to not seeing my dashmat. Instead i see a bare ass naked smooth dash in all her glory. My dash was so badly cracked everywhere, that the service tech said its the worst he had ever seen. So happy this long ordeal is over, that hideous dash is gone, and my blue book value redeemed. I can't thank Toyota enough for honoring this extended warranty, also, the techs at Centennial Toyota for the stellar job. If you are in the Vegas area, go here. :bravo::bravo::bravo:

Just got my call on 22 Mar 17 and will be picking up the vehicle this morning (24 Mar 17). Hoping there won't be any collateral damage. I had about given up on Toyota as I went in for pictures last fall and beginning to think Toyota was trying to wait me out.

dash replace

After going through process for dash replacement and waiting 2 years they are finally going to change it out april 17th. Make sure you get dealer to take pictures of your dash.

Finally got mine a couple weeks ago. About 2 years after it was ordered. And of course other pieces cracked as they were taking it off like the center speaker so it was a little annoying having to go back and fourth for new parts.

Got mine replaced yesterday....but it seems like the color is off. My interior is black, but this dash seems like is dark gray that wants to be black rather than black. Anyone else have this issue?
