Craftsman C3 tools

I'm in need of a couple new tools and the common charge setup used by Craftsman C3 and Ryobi One+ (and others) looks handy.

Anybody have experience with the Craftsman C3 tools, they any good?

Specifically looking for an angle grinder and a reciprocating saw for light-duty occasional use. And a couple of other things.

a couple years back I was a tech and most of the guys were using Makita, DeWalt and the like. Ryobi hit the scene with good power for the price. Many Contractors were buying them for their workers. 3 of us switched to Cratsman 19v when our Makitas and the like were getting old. I like the flashlite over the tube lite. The 1/2" hammer drill is nice for all around use. Regular drill can do all the doors and windows in a standard track house. (yes, alarm). Cant recall if recipracating saw uses standard blades. I was cutting 2x6s in an attic with it. One of the guys got a free battery with his 4 piece kit, it came from Ryobi.?? Some of us think this 19v line is made by them. About the same power and price. One of the guys was happy with his Ryobi 1/2" hammer, not sure if it was 18 or 20v. The Craftsman Charger is a multi-volt charger. Overall, I guess it depends who has the cheaper batts and the like. good luck

Sorry to say, I don't see a angle grinder at Sears site. Some fast Spiral saws and angle drills, but not an actual grinder. However, I pulled my saw out and it does take standard blades.

Useful info. I just looked again and sure enough, no angle grinder. I could have sworn there was one in the ad I looked at. Ryobi does, with their One+ system, and it sounds like you don't have a strong preference for brand, so I'll probably go that way since they have the other tools I want.

I have a set of the older Ryobi One+ tools... a circular saw, reciprocating saw, sander, jigsaw, flashlight, and vacuum. I don't use them too often but have yet to have a problem with them... and the vacuum is great for the 4Runner.

I have the whole set, plus more...with like 6 batteries and 2 chargers...got it all for $150 from a yard sale...i use them a LOT and NEVER had ANY problems...I love my Ryobi 1 set

I also have some DeWalt stuff, also great, just more pricey...
